Finmap + QuickBooks: Automatic Cash Flow Tracking

QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online is cloud accounting software used by small and medium businesses to manage invoicing, expenses, bank reconciliation, and the general ledger — it's the dominant small-business accounting platform in the US.

QuickBooks holds a business's transaction history, but on its own it's a record of what already happened, not a forward view of what's coming due. That's the gap a Finmap connection closes: once QuickBooks Online is linked, its transaction data feeds into Finmap's forward-looking cash flow forecast alongside a business's bank accounts and other connected sources.

Finmap works as a data aggregator, not a bookkeeping replacement — connecting QuickBooks doesn't change anything in a business's QuickBooks account or its books of record. Finmap reads the transaction data already in QuickBooks and uses it to build and maintain the forecast, without anyone needing to export files or re-enter numbers by hand.

For a business already running its books in QuickBooks Online, that means a cash flow forecast built on real transaction data instead of a spreadsheet someone has to rebuild every time the numbers change.
