How Chystota.ua Cut Its Delivery Cost From $9 to $2.5 a Trip With Finmap

“Thanks to Finmap, we saved $9,000 on optimising the cost of equipment delivery alone. In total, we optimised costs by more than $12,000 over the year.”

Challenge
Chystota.ua runs a cleaning service with a simple promise: whatever equipment a job needs, the client gets it delivered as part of the price — a vacuum cleaner for one clean, a ladder for another. That promise depends on a lot of small, individually unremarkable deliveries happening on schedule, and for a long time, getting that equipment from A to B had quietly become one of the business's biggest hidden costs. The company relied on taxis, and taxi pricing moves with the weather, the day of the week, and demand — so the same short trip could cost noticeably different amounts from one day to the next, with no clean way to see the pattern or plan around it.
Owner Dmytro Sheremeta had run the business on Excel up to that point, and it had gotten him a long way — but not far enough. "Finance has always been key for me. Excel, while useful, does not always meet modern business requirements. But when we started working with more professional money accounting tools for business, everything changed," he says.
Solution
Sheremeta moved his cash flow analysis into Finmap and started reviewing it every month, using the numbers to see exactly where the business was spending and where there was room to cut. He paired that with a monthly P&L report, checked against the previous two months each time, so any cost category that started drifting stood out immediately instead of getting buried in a spreadsheet until year-end.
Delivery was the category that stood out first. With clean, comparable numbers in front of him instead of a pile of variable taxi receipts, Sheremeta could finally put a hard figure on the status quo: $9 for a single round-trip delivery. That number gave him a real benchmark to work against, and the confidence to go looking for an alternative instead of accepting taxi pricing as fixed. He found a partner who delivers on electric scooters and moved the business's deliveries onto that service instead.
Results
The switch took the cost of a round-trip delivery from $9 down to $2.5. Applied across the volume of deliveries the business runs, that single change saved $9,000 over the year on delivery alone. Combined with the other cost categories Sheremeta tightened using the same monthly cash flow and P&L review, total savings came to more than $12,000 for the year.
"Thanks to Finmap, we saved $9,000 on optimising the cost of equipment delivery alone. In total, we optimised costs by more than $12,000 over the year," Sheremeta says.
For Chystota.ua, the real shift wasn't scooters replacing taxis — it was visibility. A cost nobody was tracking closely couldn't be managed. A cost reviewed every month, category by category, eventually finds its own fix.
